Reunification Therapy is very similar to Supervised Therapeutic visitations. Both are very important and helpful when children have had a poor relationship with a parent or have suffered while the parents have been battling a divorce or conflict.
Many times a child will not want to be with a parent, refuses to spend time with a parent, has been alienated or estranged from a parent. All of these factors are considered and investigated. The Court usually will appoint a reunification therapist to help the child and the parent always keeping in mind the best interest of the child.
